User Reviews For Wellbutrin SR

The effects of age on the pharmacokinetics of Wellbutrin Sr and its metabolites have not been fully characterized, but an exploration of steady-state bupropion concentrations from several depression efficacy studies involving patients dosed in a range of 300 to 750 mg/day, on a 3 times daily schedule, revealed no relationship between age (18 to 83 years) and plasma concentration of bupropion. A single-dose pharmacokinetic study demonstrated that the disposition of bupropion and its metabolites in elderly subjects was similar to that in younger subjects. These data suggest that there is no prominent effect of age on bupropion concentration; however, another single- and multiple-dose pharmacokinetic study suggested that the elderly are at increased risk for accumulation of bupropion and its metabolites [see Wellbutrin Sr Reviews].

There are three main treatment options for BPH:
  • Surgery. Some patients may need surgery. Your doctor can describe several different surgical procedures to treat BPH. Which procedure is best depends on your symptoms and medical condition;
  • Medication. There are different kinds of drug treatment used to treat BPH. Your doctor has prescribed HYTRIN for you. See What terazosin hcl does to treat BPH below;
  • Program of monitoring or Watchful Waiting. Some men have an enlarged prostate gland, but no symptoms, or symptoms that are not bothersome. If this applies, you and your doctor may decide on a program of monitoring including regular checkups, instead of medication or surgery.
There is a moderate drug-drug interaction between Wellbutrin and Cymbalta, Topamax, Seroquel and Klonopin, which results in a lowering of the seizure threshold. The risk of seizures may be increased in patients with a history of head trauma or prior seizure; CNS tumor; severe hepatic cirrhosis; excessive use of alcohol or sedatives; addiction to opiates, cocaine, or stimulants; use of over-the-counter stimulants and anorectics; a total daily dose of Wellbutrin greater than 450 mg or single doses greater than 150 mg; rapid escalation of Nosmoq dosage; diabetics treated with oral hypoglycemics or insulin; or with concomitant drugs known to lower seizure threshold (antipsychotics, theophylline, systemic steroids). The adverse effects associated with Wellbutrin are dry mouth, nausea, insomnia, tremor, excessive sweating, rash and tinnitus. As with any medication of this type, discuss how to appropriately discontinue treatment with Wellbutrin with your physician. A gradual dosage decrease is preferable to just stopping the medication. I do not know your medical history to advise you if depression will return. For immediate questions or concerns, please contact your physician. Joseph Hall, RPh.
